WeECHO Youth Services and the City of Niles, Michigan, are delighted to announce the proclamation of October 22, 2023, as “City of Niles Unity Day” in support of Bullying Awareness Month. This significant day dedicated to raising awareness about bullying and promoting unity within the community will feature a special proclamation presentation at the picturesque Riverfront Park Amphitheater in Niles, MI.
Unity Day Festivities at the Riverfront Park Amphitheater will be a celebration of unity, inclusion, and respect for all residents of Niles. The event will provide an opportunity for the community to come together and stand against bullying, fostering a safer and more inclusive environment for children and adolescents.
During the festivities, Mayor Nick J. Shelton will officially present the Unity Day proclamation, recognizing the importance of addressing bullying and honoring the outstanding efforts of WeECHO Youth Community Services.
We will be delighted to engage with our community youth, parents, schools, businesses and local organizations to join together in support of this occasion. Prepare to support by wearing orange and participate in the following activities:
